Kicking Kid and Cheese!

First off...Lars felt our baby girl kick last night!! I'm excited he felt her, just because it makes me feel like he is more involved in all this. He was happy to feel her. She's been pretty active, but at least the kicks don't wake me up at night. I still sleep ok, unless I have crazy prego dreams.
(That is not my belly. Or her foot. But it makes me wonder if
you can really see it with that definition eventually?
Or is that photo-shopped?)

Lars and I learned something new this weekend. For years, Lars (and other Cali people) have looked at me funny when I say I want a "Cheese Crisp." That is what I grew up calling these:However, only over the weekend did we find out that Arizona is known for its "Cheese Crisp" and you CAN'T get them in California. Kinda stinky, when you are prego and craving one!!

So here is the difference. In Arizona Mexican restaurants, they have these on the menus. They take a flour tortilla and deep fry it to be crispy, bubbly and oily! Yum. Then they put cheese on top and put it in the oven to melt and bake to the tortilla. The result is heavenly, well at least it sounds that way for me right now.

So I'm a little disappointed that I can't satisfy my craving. Anyone want to run to AZ and grab me one? Or do you know of a restaurant in Orange County that makes Cheese Crisps...do let me know. I can't seem to move onto another craving until I satisfy one.

And to all you people who wonder what I'm talking about when I say cheese crisp...see I'm not crazy, it's just an AZ thing...you wouldn't understand. ;)

Have you thought of trying to make a cheese crisps yourself? I bet it is doable!! :)

I love when daddy finally gets to feel the baby kick, so fun! We always got laughs by putting something on my belly when the baby was kicking and watch them kick it off!! Good times.

That pic is so photo-shopped. There are too many layers in between them and the outside to be that defined!!! Good luck with your cheese crisp...I just made one for Kyli for lunch!!! Love ya!
